Depending on the race that you elect to play, you will be able to incorporate one of these particular mounts into your pet inventory when you reach a particular level, or acquire a certain reputation. As soon as your character is high enough to acquire a mount, you should do so. This will enhance your game play overall by increasing your speed and will assist in your acquiring respect from other players in the game.Playing WOW on the Alliance side as the Draenei character, will provide the opportunity to acquire an Elekk. Once your human character gets to level 60 the horse mount can be purchased for 100 gold and gives a 100% speed increase. The choices at level sixty are a Swift Brown Steed, Swift White Steed, or Swift Palomino.For the Gnome characters, the racial mounts that that can be acquired are the Mechanostriders. The Mechanostrider racial mount costs just 10 gold once the Gnome has reached level 30 and will cost 100 gold when level 60 is reached. The speed of the mount will increase by 60% at level 30 and will increase by 100% at level 60. The Mechanostriders that are available when the highest level is reached are the Swift Yellow Mechanostrider, the Swift White Mechanostrider, and the Swift Green Mechanostrider.For the Night Elf that plays the Alliance side, a Nightsaber racial mount can be purchased at level thirty for 10 gold. You will have to pay 35 gold to acquire the riding skill with the mount itself costing another 10 gold.
When level sixty is reached, the mount will cost 100 gold and the riding skill goes for 600 gold. The lower level Nightsabers that are available are the Riding Striped Nightsaber, Riding Striped Frostsaber, and the Riding Spotted Frostsaber. The racial mounts for the Night Elf at higher levels include the Swift Stormsaber, the Swift Frostsaver, and the Swift Mistsaber.If you play a Dwarf on the Alliance side, you may
elect to purchase a racial mount of a Ram. At level thirty, you may choose from a White Riding Ram, a Brown Ram, or a Gray Ram for only 10 gold. Of course, the riding skill will cost 35 gold.
